1. ALWAYS turn off LP when not using the RV
2. You need to turn the LP tank ON and OFF at least once a month to keep the valve free and the valve stem seals exercised.
3. You never know when a part of the LP system could break or leak and then fill up the RV with LP. I have had older RV's that someone left the Over/range Pilot light ON and NOT LIT and this drained the LP tank and filled the RV up with LP. Internal Gas valves or Appliance regulators can fail and leak. Doug
