An absolute MUST (turn it off at the tank) if stored indoors or in areas where there is even the remotest possibility of a FIRE.
A fire, irrespective of the source (your RV, a neighboring RV, wild fire, lightening strike fire), can easily melt/burn a propane line and now you have a REAL BLOWTORCH.
