Propane tank leak

I didn't notice in previous commentary but did your propane alarm activate? Just wondering because I replaced mine just the other day after it activated while parked in our garage. I realized it was going off simply because it was past it's mfr. useful life and worn out. Stay safe.

Due to safety concerns called Jayco. Their rep, Paul, got the tank totally checked out, pressure relief valve replaced, and tank refilled. Great service. And wife has stopped complaining about the smell of propane.

Ardel Brown managed to pump a couple gallons of propane into the tank, said their recommended place, Mountain Shadows, didn't know how. With the 2 gallons the tank passed inspection. I think that the tank needs to be full like it was when it blew propane, so am looking for a competent propane supplier around Draper, UT, that way I can get it back to dealer promptly while its leaking, and before it has more serious issues.

Took to Ardel Brown in Draper, Ut. They found 2 other leaks and fixed. Next tried to refill tank, since it was a full tank that had the problem, but the fill valve has a mystery blockage. So it's back at the dealer. Glad I have a 2-yr warranty. Hope this MH doesn't blow us up down the road. Ps when first purchased it had a leaky vapor valve. Why so many propane problems with this MH has me n wife extremely on edge and irritated.

Thanks, overfilled plus 120 degrees makes sense. But releasing over half the tank I'm thinking may indicate a faulty or stuck valve. It seems ok now but will have it checked.

That looks like the pressure relief valve. Your tank must have been overfilled.
You should be OK now.

You have to upload your pics to a site like photobucket, tinypic, etc and then post the url to the site where it is posted. You can't just "cut and paste" a picture onto the forums. Search around the forums a little as one of them has a "tutorial" stickyed at the top that explains the process.
