Prospective Purchase

I am considering the purchase of a used Itasca Sunova and wondered if anyone has any knowledge as to the dependability and quality of this Class A motor home? Thanks
  • They do rust around the front window frame, in an unseen area till it comes time to replace the windshield.
  • Well, Itasca line is made by Winnebago. While I ended up buying a Monaco, from my research and looking at a lot of coaches, I would have been happy buying a Winnebago product. There are a few reports of the roof blowing off, or loosening. You can do a google search on that topic. But every manufacturer will have some kind of issue. And I really like the looks of the newer Itasca coaches. Maybe the most important criteria is floor plan - find one that works for your mission, then shop manufacturers that offer that. For example, on most of the coaches that I looked at, if there were bunk beds, the kitchen was smaller. We liked the larger counter space in the kitchen, so shyd away from the bunk bed models. You need to define these issues yourself then move forward. I window shopped for a few years then was serious for about a year before I pulled the trigger.
  • Vic46,

Understood. But, I was inquiring, in general, whether there was there anything major that stood out with the Itasca line. From there, I can see if there are any possible existing problems specific to the one I am looking at. Thanks
  • Just a little short on information!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
