I too like the truck lane if available except there is usually a lot of spilled oil and diesel to contend with plus i find most truckers simply will not pull forward till there good and ready to which can be trying. The faster pumps are nice but Iam finding that the new to newer regular vehicle pumps are a lot faster than the older ones I always use ease of access in and out as my first measurement of where to fuel
The speed of the truck fuel pumps or when the truck in front moves of is is not the issue for us. Maneuverability is the issue. Our mh and toad are just about 60 feet in length and using the RV lane can be a real issue/challenge . I won't even attempt the car lanes!
I find the using the truck lanes is cheap insurance to avoid hitting something, a car or someone when using the RV lanes. For me it's a perk having a diesel mh so I don't need to use the RV lane. Add to that I always get my fuel discount in the truck lanes, but not always at the RV lane.
True sometimes and understood.Thats why I posted ease of in/out is my priority.Iam 63 feet and found that lots of the newer gas bars have plenty of room was all I was relaying. The speed of the tuck in front of me is a consideration as Iam there for fuel not for a holiday
