Thankfully my HOA also does not permit boat, RV or comm'l vehicle storage on site. Allowed 24 hrs on site to load. I look for secure, locked storage with 24/7 access. I prefer storage facility that has mostly well kept RVs & boats and not daily in and out comm'l vehicles. Distance and price are next considerations and cameras are a nice feature. I do not like field, weed or grass type parking - too much possibility of rodents. My current lot is about 10 miles away @ $90/mo. Sided on 3 sides by 8' fencing with barb wire at the top and the 4th side by an alligator infested pond. Yes, alligators are far more preferable to me than mice.
