We, too, have done both directions and it's steep but beautiful! We slow as always on steep inclines as do all the trucks/RV's. But, you will make it!
More times that I can count is running into snow going to Flagstaff. Not always snowing but snow piled up on the sides of the road in the winter months. Oh, and the smell of those pine trees is nice!
