Which is okay - I get it and will work with it, but there should be no reason why we can't work out a really good % off the new coach. There lies my dilemma, trying to understand what % will be offered off of MSRP for the new coach.
Ok, here's how to figure out what the new coach is worth. Take the MSRP, it has to be the MSRP from the manufacturer, subtract the shipping then divide by 1.4 then add the shipping back on. That's what the dealer has in it. Now the dealer has to make a profit, so add what you think a fair profit would be, say $5000 and add it all up. That's what you should offer. Try it and see what happens. I've done this on a fifth wheel and offered them $2500 profit and they grabbed it. The sales manager even asked the salesman if he told me what they had in it. So I must have hit it right on the dot.
