Unless I missed something, OP isn't talking about 40'+ DP's. He asked about 30'. Typically that means entry level gas.
Good point! But "my" point was that you can't judge the quality of a certain make or model by hear say or a single experience and that you can get good ones or bad ones with any brand. Size has nothing to do with it.

Actually size has a lot to do with it. As you move up the food chain, quality improves and the brands drift further apart as to whose quality is better. At the entry level, the differences in quality is minimal at best. I understand the point about judging based on experiences and it's a valid one.
So, you're saying that a 36' Tiffin Allegro Bus is cheaper built than a 38' Tiffin Allegro Bus or a 45' Tiffin Allegro Bus. Many other brands also have different sizes within the same model name. Typically the model appointments, engine, chassis, etc... are all the same throughout that particular model....just more space for storage inside and out. The quality is the same, just the size is different.
Granted for instance, a Monaco Caymen has less quality than a Monaco Signature...but they are two entirely different motor homes that just happen to be built by the same manufacture.
We are getting off the topic of the OP's original question.

That's not what I am saying. I am saying that a 40' tiffin or Newmar is a different build quality than a 40' Thor Tuscany. Different BRANDS have a wider spread of quality at the top than the bottom. But if you lined up an ACE, Bay Star Sport, Vista, Mirada, Precept and a Bounder and hid the manufacturer names, you wouldn't be able to tell one brand from another. Some folks make it seem like a particular brand is so superior to others in terms of quality. I say on the entry level it's BS. They are all the same and all of poor quality for what you pay IMHO. Some brands just charge more for the same cheap materials and workmanship. However some are worse at customer service than others and there is the critical piece. In bigger rigs it's easier to tell who made what. At the bottom you pay for brand and maybe more hassle to get stuff fixed.
