My '98 Coachmen seems to me to be of reasonable quality but clearly built to a price. By that, I mean the materials are fairly basic (pressboard cabinet door panels, plastic bathroom sink, laminate couuntertops, etc.) and the fit and finish occasionally a little rough, but the design is sensible and the systems installed and wired properly and safely. The wiring and plumbing are generally neat and tidy.
Personally, I think that is a reasonable tradeoff, and preferable to luxury fittings and finishes with sloppy mechanicals. Having both would, of course, be the very best case...especially if someone else was paying!
