Sorry, I don't think they 'take charge' of you. The driver is in charge when the vehicle is in motion. :?
I think THEY think they are taking charge of you, which they probably do to make their insurance company happy, which then places some of the burden on them to do it right, hence the basis for some shared responsibility. That said, I agree that the driver has responsibility to avoid a collision at any cost, including the pride of the campground host, but nonetheless, I think KOA, allegedly relying on the skill of their host, bears some responsibility.
