I just purchased a gas coach but drove a few diesels before deciding. In my view, neither gas or diesel provide a real pleasant driving experience. Both are large, have some noise, have some body roll, are affected by large passing trucks, and ride comparatively rough compared to my cars. But I can tolerate it when driving only around 5000 miles or so a year. There's just no getting around the 50 - 70 thousand more a diesel would cost and the higher maintenance and fuel costs associated with it. I decided to go with a smaller gas coach as it wasn't worth the extra money to me based upon the way I plan to use it. It may be different with you but I recommend you spend some time driving both and take a hard look at how you will be using it before deciding. That's a lot of money and for what I want to do the gas coach will do everything the diesel will.
