Interesting for us this question would be asked now. Out story, kids were small with pets we had a 38ft class A, no pets and fewer kids and we moved to a 27ft Born Free Class C. Now, no kids or pets, and our travel has changed, don't need a campground, we now prefer to stay in resorts in the locations we like to visit, that means staying on the ocean and not a few blocks away, in the mountains in a lodge and not a few miles away, be able to drive into the intercity. Don't get me wrong we love to travel in an RV and have just ordered a Roadtrek 170 probably the smallest one you can buy. we will still have all the comforts including a generator, and if we need to stop for a night or boondock out in the middle of no where we still can.
for us different times in life dictate what RV we will have. my guess is retirement in a few years and if we decide to full time or semi full time we will probably be back to that big class a.
