You are right on target. Park on material that will stop moisture from coming up out of the ground, wood, concrete, treated wood, such as plastic mats, rubber mats, galvanized or aluminum sheet metal such as roof flashing scraps or go to the local sheet metal shop and buy some scraps. Concrete is a huge moisture source.
