Rain-X On Aluminum Wheels
Has any one heard of using Rain-X on alum. wheels as a protective coating after polishing ? Thanks for any and all comments

I used Rain X on and 85 Mercury headlights. It turned them gray blue and cloudy. Eventually they got clearer over a year.
Aluminum wheels, or most of them are clear coated. A plastic paint.
I wouldn't do it. I didn't know it had acetone in it, and because, of that I definately wouldn't do it.
