I had Goodyear 670's, same size you're talking about and put about 42,000 miles on them with no problems. Changed them due to age, still looked good
Purchase 8 Bridgestones, have about 5,000 miles and they're doing just fine. I didn't put Goodyears on again cause the tire dealer didn't carry Goodyears. Far as I'm concerned, they're both fine tires.
Paid about $750.00 a tire out the door.
As far as I'm concerned protection from the sun, checking air pressure once in a while, rotating the
steering tires, reasonable speeds, proper loading, Goodyears and virtually all quality tires will last and perform pretty good.
And no, I don't check air pressures every day, nor every week.
