We never have the RV in the driveway unless it is because I am working on it. Then it will never be the day before we go away.
Even for a long trip, we will load up the Yukon the day before and take everything to the shed. I generally turn the fridge on a couple of days before to get it cold and make ice.
The day we leave one car is in the garage and the other one goes with us. The mail is stopped, the kids next door are contracted to pick up the paper, the lawn man is prepaid so grass is always cut, the thermostat is programmed, all the standard lights are on timers, and the water is turned off.
