I have witnessed many scary things while traveling and talked to so many A drivers that didn't have a clue of any mechanical systems.....or anything about anything except how to unlock the door.
I believe this is a threat to all on the road and not suggesting a permit just education.......maybe like a hunter safety course....
After all an A is sometime as big as an 18 wheeler and with nowhere near the safety systems.....
What do you think?
Just because you own a class a MH, shouldn't require you to meet commercial standards....
Class A's range from 30' to 45'....
In NY, a class a license allows you to drive any personal vehicle up to 26,000 lbs
For MH's 26,001 lbs and over you need an "R" endorsement...
I can't speak of other states, but I'm sure most normal licenses have a weight restriction...
Now as far as being familiar with the vehicle you are driving....that is a no brainer...
