Being a new motorhome the generator could be defective. Worth having it checked out by Onan.
Mine takes a series of two or three primes and starting attempts to get it going after sitting a few weeks. Prime 15 seconds, crank 10 seconds. Wait, repeat. It may take a minute or two overall to get it started.
I think it is beyond ridiculous these still use carburetors at all.
