I have a 1999 motor home and gave up on a paint job. When I checked it was from $5000 to $10,000 and up. A 1999 is not worth the investment. Is a 1996? You be the judge.
I would want to at the very least ride in it on the road even if he has to drive. For me, no drive/ride no buy.
Last year we had a water leak and had to have the carpeting replaced. We had most of it replaced with vinyl and the slide and driver's area carpet. The cost was approx $5000. That was too high, but was necessary.
Just some thoughts for you to think on.
