I have printed all your suggestions and will take it with me to go and check the locations. In the instructions for installation it states to not install by heat or anything that might be corrosive, so I'm hoping it's not in the battery compartment. The RV is close by in storage so I will go check all these locations and post what I find.
A question though, what type of inside control panel would it be? We have the EMS which has a control panel but that's the only control panel in the RV. (please don't tell me the EMS is for the inverter that I can't find, I would really feel stupid)
