Some companies, like Monaco, did not use sealant on their windshields. Sometimes when you have an issue, it's better to pull it, clean it and reseal it with sealant. The only downside is that they can break when being removed. Typically, your insurance will cover it. After the first chip on my new Diplomat 11 years ago, I lowered the Comprehensive to $100.00 to cover windshield replacement. Sure enough, I went 9 years without an issue, but broke two in two months and the $100.00 deductible helped. Some states have no deductible for windshield repair.
