Mine doesn't have a working motor AC, just the overhead. The couple times we went camping last year, we just opened up the windows in the back so the kids would have a breeze while sitting back there (we have rear dining area) and they were fine. My parents RV is similar to yours and they've done without the motor AC too, just going without on short trips and using the overhead AC for the longer ones.
