I got ready to head for home this AM from the trip to Centralia and couldn't get the Dish to stow.It kept telling me that the SK motor was jammed,so I called Winegard,(one hour for a call back), and he talked me thru several different steps and it just didn't want to stow and so he said that the skew motor was jammed and then told me how to stow it manually.Okaayyyy, guess what, couldn't find the tool box I needed(left it home) and so had to check around the rv park to find the ratchet I needed.Got it and headed back up onto the roof. This is the third trip and the roof is still damp from the rain and slippery.Do you know how far it is from the ladder to the front end on a slippery roof,on your knees when you have acrophobia?
Got the rubber plug off, finally and put the socket on the little shaft and a 1/4 turn and it was in my hand..Durn pot metal.Said Sc**w this and took the dish off, finished loading and had a good trip home.On my third beer now.
Will be taking it in tomorrow to get that one figgered out.Bought it 1 1/2 y/o and it has 2 yr parts and 1 yr labor.
I doubt the warranty will cover breakage by owner.
