I found a carpenter today. I have torn out the ceiling, insulation and 6 beams or trusses. The previous owner tore out the antenna in an accident and after a number of years everything rotted. I have to replace the fiber board liner and some areas where the beams rest. The carpenter said he should take a week or two to redo everything. His cost to me on this project is six hundred dollars. The basic materials will be about three hundred dollars.
I want this project done by spring so I can sell the rv that I am now living in. I will hate giving up my summer home(old rv) but alass I have difficulty driving two rv's anyway. When completed, I should have a total of about sixty five hundred dollars invested. I live full time in my rv. My rv is an 81 chev with an 82 Honey camper. I'm coverting the sofa into a bed and converting the bunk into a storage area. I'm 72 and a little too old to climb the ladder.
