Thanks for the reply. I can fully understand the first part about the break away cable being too slack. Hard to understand why it would have jammed the other cable though unless it pulled so hard it got pinched somehow between the firewall.

On the other hand, I never had the system so maybe it all makes perfect sense to those that own it and have first hand experience. Like I said in a prior post the downfall of a mechanical system is just the things you are describing. There is no fail safe, once on it's all on.
