This was actually better than I expected. When we had our DP with an 8.3 ISC, we got 9.5 mpg whether we were towing or not. With the 2012 F53, I was expecting no better than 6.5 - 6.8 when towing. So, 7.2 - 7.5 was a pleasant surprise.
Of course, I'm not a "power driver". I avoid jack rabbit starts, heavy breaking, and variations in cruising speed whenever I can.
