I consistently get 6.7-6.9 mpg with our 2002 Itasca 32v Ford V-10 towing a 2009 2 door jeep wrangler rag top. I have found that I can very easily get caught up with the freeway traffic and find myself tooling along at 70 mph if I don't watch my speed. Am trying different driving techniques I hear about on this forum to see if I can get to the MAGIC 7MPG. I've heard on this forum different opinions about using cruise control. Personally, I don't use it, I've found that I can effect the down shift going up even slight hills by not using the cruise control. How much can using cruise control effect mpg?
