This is a not unusual problem on 5th wheels with hydraulic slides. Don't remember reading of it on a MH.
But if you have an auto reset circuit breaker between the battery and the hydraulic pump, that is likely the problem. The breaker heats up, opens (and stops the pump motor), cools, recloses, and supplies power back to the pump motor again. Not uncommon for it to happen 2-3 times with slides going in or out. It will just continue to get worse each time it happens.
Best news is it is cheap and easy to replace. If you do have one, look on the side to see the amp rating. Available at RV parts stores and many auto parts stores.
