It is a 'electronic high-high temp sensing' safety device that cuts all DC power to fridge.
They (Norcold) or now up to REV F..........which should tell you that you are NOT the only one that has had failures of device.
Failure rate is high enough to question what good is device?
Dometic has a 'recall' device also.........no electronics used.
Just simple rewiring scheme incorporating an addition high temp sensing thermodisc which cuts all dc power if it trips. VERY low failure.
Norcold 'recall control box' can be reset using a strong magnet.
Lay magnet on face of box and move it make/forth side to side top area until you hear 'click' and RED light goes out.........PROVIDED that is hasn't really cut off power due to high-high temp (ammonia smell/yellow residue around burner area, 'no-co' faults etc.
