As has been indicated it depends of what fits you. That depends on how you fit and what you want to do with it. I have a Smart Car. It is true that the length is very large. I am 6 1 and have lots of leg room and don't have the seat back all the way. It is fun for short trips. It tows easily as it has a mannual tranny with automatic clutch. Light enough no need for aux brake. When I need something to drive for greater distances I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee. Works great. Remember the reason you can tow them it the transfer case so make sure you get one that can put transfer case in neutral. Not true with all. I also am using my Smart more and more and if I need a bigger vehicle for a few days when I am staying for longer term. I rent for period needed. I too have gasser. Love it. I view my tow car as transportation so comfort in ride is not as important as ease of hookup and weight. You may have other needs so analyze those and fit the vehicle to them. Good luck.
