Recommended shops in Orange County Ca?

Hi,

I'm curious if anyone recommends any specific MH shops in the Orange County, CA area? I usually do most of the mechanical work on my own vehicles, but the size of the MH makes things like brake jobs, brake fluid change etc too difficult. I would like to find a good local place to do this and hopefully avoid Camping World and the other big RV dealerships. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks.
  • Mr. Thor, I use:
Redlands Truck and RV Performance Center
    510 Amigos Drive - Redlands, CA 92373
    Business Hours: 7am - 5pm / Monday - Friday
    Phone: (909) 792-0314 Fax: (909) 792-0984

They have done several things for me and I have been very pleased with their work.

-repaired my dash air conditioning which has been working solid for 1.5 yrs. now (Colton Truck Terminal could not fix the air after 3 try's and still charging me every time).
-installed new towing equipment on my new Honda
-replaced hoses on my Cummins engine
-replaced all my 8 house batteries with AGM's.
-repainted my two house battery trays.
    -adjusted my living room slide
-repaired the computer board for the hydraulic slide-outs.
-tightened the hydraulic hoses to the slide-out pump.
-mixed two touch-up paint colors that I needed at no charge (that was nice)!

I drive all the way from Palm Springs when I need service in that area. They are not cheap, they do the work right the first time (in the 2yrs. I've been using them).

    Good luck,
    MM.
  • X2 on Redlands truck and RV. Keith, (the owner) and others there (Mike B) are first class and do what they say they will do.
  • I have used Ray A Motive In Bellflower with great success they have a specialized RV area and racks to work on the biggest rigs.

Ask for Ray, he is also an avid RVer and will know how to keep that rig rolling.
  • I have used Rincon in San Clemente, good people but a little distant for you and I - from Tustin. Redlands is way too far for me. The mention of Anaheim Truck and Auto is interesting. I have heard good things about McBride RV Service, but their in Chino.
  • Anywhere but TravelLand...:E....Redlands is worth the trip if you're having major stuff done...Dennis

travelLand is gone, but el toro rv moved to lake forest. for chassis only stuff you can go to Santa Margarita Ford's fleet service.....Rick's trailer supply in San Clemente is pretty good.
  • When we lived in the area we used Fairway Ford all the time. They don't work on diesel engines but will work on the house stuff. Never had a problem with them. Unless things have changed in the last 5 years I would recommend them.
