I'm amazed the DOT / NTSB allows ammonia absorption refrigeration on the road... with hydrogen gas in there for good measure too! Do refrigerated trucks use ammonia too, or are they using a hydrocarbon refrigerant like R131a etc?
Every now and then the local ice cream plant as an ammonia leak from their absorption freezer and they evacuate for blocks in case of explosion.
