refinancing company's

Looking to refi our coach. Wonder what other companys/banks other than GoodSam/Essex some owners may have used and where happy with. Currently using Navy Federal but the rate seems high 8%.
Thanks
  • The rates are variable based on a number of factors and what might hurt you a bit is the coach age. Lenders consider the age of the coach as part of the risk factor.

Anyway, give USAA a call. They financed my purchase back in 2011. Looked at NFCU but their rates were a bit higher than I liked at the time.
  • Thanks, I talked to USAA originally for the purchase of the rv and they had a flat rate of 10% at the time and they said it didn't matter for rvs it was 10% and that was that, unless I wanted over 100k.
  • We financed with our credit union and they didn't care what the age was or the minimum amount you wanted to finance. They also had a flat rate for any rv.
  • We financed ours a few months ago at 4% with US Bank. A refi on an older rv may be more.
  • 10%:E, what a ripoff. If you have a house you might use it as a second mortgage. This is what I have done, 3.5%.

X-2, CU's are the only way to go IMHO
  • First try a "Home equity Line of Credit" through your bank. Cheapest rate.
Second would be contact "Pentagon Federal Credit Union"
  • Thanks for all the info. Our rv is our home so a second is out of the question. We are looking at US Bank and I will also look into PFC I also read they have a pretty good CC for a fuel discount.
