Refrigerator and Bathroom Questions

When I was a B owner, I loved my 2003 Forest River MB Cruiser. They don't make those now. Haven't looked at any B's in recent years. The MB Cruiser had a rear bath with walk-in shower which was great. It did have the small refrigerator though. Are there any B's out there with a walk-in shower and a larger refrigerator?
  • When LTV was still making Free Spirit true class Bs with the Sprinter van, they came out with one that had a large rear bath and a lot of storage drawers. I think the fridge was bigger than the former Free Spirit models like the one we had.

This would have been a 2013 and/or 2014 model year, I think. It had a little driver's side slide for the sofa that became a bed. Model was the Free Spirit SS.
  • Hello, the DW and I just(in Feb) bought a Winnie Adventurer 32V and last week decided it was just beyond my capabilities to care for it the way I want and so we have decided to downsize to a "B".

This is my first time to browse thru the "B" forum. This thread has some great info for me to give my DW. We too do not often shower in the rig and it is mostly used for storage. We like twin beds as our needs differ for getting up during the night and using the head and my bride is almost always too hot and I'm too cold.

So reading threads like this are very informative and will surly help us in making our choice and letting us know what to look for in our next rig.

    Great information and thanks.
  • I used to have an MB Cruiser. Never used the shower to shower, it was put to good use as storage space. I was not fond of the small fridge at floor lever. We liked to though and made good use of it. We now have a 2014 Pleasureway Plateau and it has a much larger fridge and real freezer. It has a wet bath (again, we don't use the shower)that functions well for us. Nice wardrobe for hanging storage also.
  • Winnebago's ERA 70C has a rear bath somewhat larger than the one Forest River put in one model of the MB Cruiser. But this floorplan, which looks like it was designed for single full-time living, has no permanent bed, and the foldout sofa bed needs a slideout to be opened for you to unfold the sofa. Specs don't give the size of the refrigerator, but since it is a two-door model, probably at least 6 cu ft.

Sportsmobile, which custom-builds on Ford, Chevy, Sprinter and Ram Promaster vans of all sizes, can build a rear bath in some of the extended vans, but maybe not always a dry bath, because not all long vans have a long rear overhang. Design your own, it's fun. Then they'll tell you whether or not they can do it, and help you work out a compromise they can build.
  • Thanks Davydd. That was the info I was looking for on a true "B". Sometimes I think I might change from my Class C (aka B+ to some) since hubby doesn't want to travel much anymore. I'll check out those that you mentioned.
  • The Forest River MB Cruiser Ms"B"haven had was a Sprinter Class B van. It had a rear bath.

The Unity is a Class C and I know Ms"B"Haven fully understands the difference. She was asking about a real Class B Camper Van covered under this forum.

The answer is a Winnebago Era 70C Sprinter has a rear bath with separate shower with a large 2 door refrigerator..

Also the Coach House Arriva extended body Sprinter van twin bed model has a rear bath with separate shower with 6 CF 3-way refrigerator.

The Winnebago Travato 59K Promaster has a rear bath but it is a wet bath substantially larger than most but the refrigerator is a small under counter not much different than the MB Cruiser.

Advanced RV has a model with a bath toward the front with a spacious round shower surround (but wet) and substantial refrigerator/freezers. They also have the largest capacity water and grey tanks of the Class Bs.
  • Not a true B, but a B+ made by Leisure Travel Vans. They have several floor plans including the Unity which has a huge bathroom with residential style walk in shower and a Murphy bed to give you lots of living space. Nice size fridge as well.
