I only have a few months experience with the class a 36, but learned a bit in the 3 years previous with the " C" 32.
I really plan ahead, with google maps, starting with a full tank, and then calculating to 1/2 tank on the road. I also carry a couple of empty 5 gal gas containers, if I might be in a pinch, I just take them for a ride in the toad, and add to my tank for an additional 80 miles or so.
