Citations for missing registration, plates, etc. will not be issued this year. So you may not need to rush.

That said... Your insurance plan may only cover registered vehicles. Appointments for VIN inspections are booked a ways out, so you might need a trip permit for now, depending on you insurance requirements.

VIN inspections can be done at offices with Drive-Up VIN Inspections, or you can book an appointment online:
