Remco GM SUV with 6L80 Tranny

We bought a 2014 AWD GM SUV "with the 6L80 transmission" (I've been told that's important), which Remco says can be modified to allow flat towing. We previously had a (used) 06' modified by Remco, and it worked well, with no problems, for 6 years and about 40,000 miles, when we had to sell the older car to get a softer suspension for my spinal problems. But since this new car is so nice, and the work to be done will be so expensive, we wonder if any of you have had a newer Yukon, Denali, Tahoe, Escalade "with the 6L80 transmission" modified in this way, and if so, if it worked well for you.

    Sounds like you have received only partial information.

    Remco does support the use of their lube pump for the 6L80E, that's true.
    What is also true is that any GM with the 2 speed transfer case can be towed without the Remco pump.

    If you are not clear on what transfer case you have, then check with a dealer or reliable mechanic. Sounds like you may have purchased a single speed AWD rather than 2 speed 4WD.
