Nice looking unit but I still hate VW's. Those old hippie vans were limited to 50 for good reason, unsafe at any speed.

Aw yes, the memories from my 1965 VW bus. Thanks for taking me back to my first camper. And, didn't have to be campin' to be enjoying the setup. ;)

When I told my mom in 2007 I was going to buy a minivan, she had no idea of what I was talking about. She said "you mean of those hippie vans"?

VW itself builds much better versions( Transporter and Crafter) . Here we have lot more choice to choose from. Renault Master is much more popular than the Transit. Japanese/ Korean Vans are a good choice

Something I would definitely be in the market for, however it's a moot point as there are no plans to release this in the US.

Hi Folks,

My second camper was a 1980 VW Vanagon. Loved it but the engine was to small. This California might be what I need. One thing missing. A toilet and no room for a PortiPotti. Other than that, a great every day car that you could go camping. Price will be through the roof. Guess I shall keep my 2002 Roadtrek 190V for now.
