Remove/close Satellite mount

I have an old DTV dish on my 2002 bounder.Been the source of a leak or two in the past.
Since I now have a Winegard portable dish, I no longer need the original dish, and it serves no purpose.
Is it something I should consider removing, or just seal the mount up and move on?

    And may be perfect, as it is over the drivers seat, and be great for maps etc.

    If you take it off and want to cover the hole inside in the ceiling where the crank and turning mechanism was, I found that a 3 or 4 inch (I forget which) door knob protector works great and is very unobtrusive.
    The adhesive didn't want to stick to the fuzzy Ozite ceiling covering so I used a little hot melt glue to hold it on.

    I covered the outside hole with a SK3005 Winegard Travel'r dish. :)
