Removing Heavy Oxidation on White Areas of RV

I just finished working on the oxidized, white non-painted areas of our 36' Coachmen MH using the 3M Restorer and Wax. Worked VERY well for me. Removed all of the oxidation and left a very slick, shiny surface. I did purchase 2 Compounding Pads from AB's Gloves and Adhesives in Sturgis, MI to apply the product. You can do it by hand, but Wow, a lot of work. They have several different wool pads and I purchased the 7-1/2" hook and loop ones with 1-1/2" length on the loops. Pads were $12.50 ea. with free shipping. Hopes this helps with your decision on which way to proceed.

Try Protectall oxidation remover

No to the rubbing compound. It is to harsh. Polishing compound is the answer followed by a good wax.

Another option, which does a good job, is the Zep/Red Max Pro process.

Use it to remove the oxidation, stains, etc.. Then, use the wax of your choice.
Any wax you chose will look great. The prep work is the important part of the process.

This may sound too simple, but it does work with heavy water spots, calcium build up, and crud (like oxidation), shower walls, and some acid rain gunk on automobiles ... get a soft cloth or a sponge and simply put liquid Dishwasher liquid on it and rub it (nice and wet) over the are you want to clean. Let it sit a few minutes and then simply rinse and wipe off. Liquid Dishwasher soap is made to cut through stuff like that, on dishes, and inside an automatic dishwasher.

You can try a small area and see how it goes. If it does not work, you've not lost anything (especially if you already have a dishwasher at home).

WD-40 works great for oil and tar, Automatic Dishwashing liquid works good for everything else. (And Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works fantastic on your awning)... phew! I think I've just given you enough work!
