Thanks to all for the info. I feel that renting a car could be an option.
Please pop back in and let us know how it works for you. It may be perfect renting or maybe not.
Either way, let us know about your experience.
Safe travels,
MM.
If we rent, I will post results. We're planning to snowbird in Jan & Feb.
Hope we can do it in this little mh.
We just don't know how big a pita it will be to unhook & go.
In 2004, when we visited Guerneville, CA (very small town), we were in our first RV rental (Class C 31 ft. Fleetwood Tioga). We had set up with lawn chairs, grill, small table and walked into their downtown to rent a car. We stopped at the Chamber of Commerce and they said that they don't have a rental car company in town.
(our fault due to lack of planning).
We unhooked the Class C and toured the wineries. It would have been difficult if the unit was taller as there were low hanging trees along the country roads. We managed but putting our stuff away everyday was tiresome.
Since you will be snowbirding, everything that goes out on the patio will have to be put up or it could walk off, you just never know.
Good luck on your adventure!
MM.
