repainting my gel coat skin

Where can I find information on repainting my class a Motorhome that has a gel coat skin? Is it at all possible to do this myself with spray cans? I realize this is a highly ambitious project but I want to learn everything I can before I even consider it.

    I had a couple areas on one color where I did do that, lightly sand and sprayed with clear coat. Stopped the problem, but looked crappy. Since then I've had that whole color on the RV repainted by a professional shop in Yuma. Looks great now.

    Unless you have experience in painting an RV I would attempt it. The RV needs the decals removed, sanded, primed, painted, and at least 2 coats of clear to look right and last.
