There is only two of us so no way would the over-the-cab area be used for a bunk bed. Was also thinking a better approach for the HDTV setup in that area would consume up some of that area as well...
I wouldn't hesitate at all modding that area for your special needs. Special areas seem to be a premium as it is.
Your model over-the-cab area sure has alot of overhang however after looking at some photos. Alot of room past the two side widows for just standard depth cabinets... Would hate to cover up the side windows.
There are a few views on GOOGLE SEARCH showing some cabinet mods to this area.
Definitely will be an interesting project whatever you come up with...

Those pics are of a Class A with a bed that lowers. Those cabinets come like that from the factory.
