Replacement - GE - 10.5 Cu. Ft. 24" Refrigerator -NC-1200

GE - 10.5 Cu. Ft. 24" Bottom-Freezer Counter-Depth Refrigerator

Was just in a friends pool house and he had this refrigerator - I immediately thought it might be a good replacement for my Norcold 1200 - and also allow a small pantry shelf next to it?

Has anyone one done this?

Spec's

Height To Top Of Refrigerator 59.875 inches - NC=63.25
Height To Top Of Door Hinge 60.375 inches
Depth Without Handle 27.4 inches - NC=24
Depth With Handle 27.375 inches
Norcold is 33" wide leaving 9 " to work with for pantry

Couple of things jumped out - only 60" high - so would fit in my space without modification/Cutting out drawer.

Smaller - so just better as we do not need a great amount of capacity.

It is still larger than the 1200.

Thinking I could build a pull out pantry that was around 6" - 7.5" that would just add dry storage that is badly needed.

Just putting this out there for all those who have or may do refrigerator replacements.

Give me some feedback, as you all have generally got the Answers. :-)

TIA,

    No One?

Would have thought someone would have used a 24" as a replacement, but guess not.

    Thanks for looking,
  • Just an FYI: GE's appliance division was sold to China based Haier Group last year. The major appliances are still made primarily in Louisville, KY though.
