Replacement furniture

Is it tough to replace furniture like a sofa trying to get it to fit through door or are they size friendly
thanks
  • We just traveled down that avenue. We have a 2016 Bounder, we took out the jack-knife sofa and that "L" thingy....the couch fit thru the door just fine (opened up), the "L" thingy not so much, had to take it totally apart and remove a side for it to fit out the door. We decided on Thomas Payne love seat recliners with console. Fit just fine thru the door and it looks good as well as being comfortable.
  • Before you start knocking out Windows, see who made it. We have a flex steel and having the leather stretched and new cushions. It comes apart very easy.
  • I have read that Lazy Boy has pieces of furniture that the back come off for access thru the doors. Haven't checked myself, but will when we get ready to replace our sofa.
  • I had a Flexsteel POS couch with a recliner. The whole thing came apart with the arms being removable as well as the back. Once taken apart, it fit out the door and in to the trash. The bolts were accessible from underneath.
  • When I had my sofa reupholstered the service center took out the drivers window to bring in the furniture.
  • Some will need to be taken apart. On my sofa the back lifts off, so it comes out in two pieces. Some you may need to remove a window or take a slide off to access the furniture.
