replacement solinoid

Hi everyone,

We got home from an road trip with the rig to find the slides on our 2003 Allegro bus would not come out. We tracked the issue down to a solenoid that had pooped out. I checked with Tiffin, and I can get a replacement for $58.00. I was wondering if anyone had visited a local retailer of some form where they got a part like this.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Happy camping! Eric and carol Anderson
  • How about a part number off the solenoid? And what does it connect to?
  • Take it to NAPA or another auto parts store. I have gotten solenoids for my MH at NAPA.

  • The Tiffin part number is 8000, which sounds a little generic. But here is what it looks like.

It is normally closed and only opens the circuit when power is applied to it. It supplies power to the slide outs.

    Thanks! Eric

X2. I just replaced one for the air horn. Hadley wanted $65 and NAPA had it for $45.
