I find it hard to understand why someone has to have a diesel engine in a motor home that is going to spend most of the time parked in an RV park and occasionally be driven 150 miles. Is this thread for real, or a late April 1st joke? To me, the idea that someone, who is not even a mechanic, would even consider putting in a newer, or any diesel engine, in a 40 year old motor home, is absurd.
