I understand that making your own fuel is cheaper(?), but how much cheaper? It will still cost you something, and an "occasional" trip of 150 miles will cost less than $100 in a gasser. If the difference between that $100 and your home-brew cost is more than you can afford, then you can't afford the conversion.
