I do think the rear window not opening is by design or law for the reason stated. It would be easy for someone's to inadvertently leave it open and have exhaust and all sorts of other stuff sucked into the mh as you travel down the road.
Huh...huh...what I was told at the factory, just relating that bit of information, nothing more.
